其他分項顯示，美國第三季度消費者支出年化季率修正值實際公佈2.90%，預期2.8%，前值2.9%；美國第三季度GDP平減指數修正值實際公佈1.80%，預期1.7%，前值1.7%。美國第三季度核心PCE物價指數年化季率修正值實際公佈2.10%，預期2.2%，前值2.2%。
美國第三季度經濟增長略有回升，而非最初報告顯示的放緩，主要原因在於庫存積累速度加快，商業投資下降幅度減少。不過，有跡象表明，在消費者支出降溫和商業投資不斷下滑的情況下，第四季度初經濟放緩。消費者支出正獲得低失業率的支持。但就業增長放緩、消費者信心下降和工資增長停滯，都讓人們對消費的彈性產生了懷疑。
在三季度修正值公佈後，市場更加關注接下來四季度美國經濟前景。對於未來四季度美國經濟增長的前景，達拉斯聯儲主席羅伯特-卡普蘭此前曾經預計，美國經濟增長速度將在第四季度大幅放緩，原因是對國際緊張形勢感到擔心的企業正在削減庫存。
