美股全線下跌，美元受到持續重壓

7月30日，歐洲股市和美國股市出現全線下跌，避險情緒再度升溫推動美元反彈，但由於全球疫情的蔓延，投資者擔心全球經濟復蘇前景不樂觀，美元依舊維持疲軟的預期。
日本單日新增確診病例連續第二天超過1000例。此外據日本放送協會(NHK)報導，7月30日東京都方面證實，當地新增新冠確診病例367例，創當地單日新增病例數的新高。截至目前，東京累計確診病例已增至12228例。另據東京電視臺報導，鑒於疫情持續擴大，東京都政府計畫要求餐飲店和練歌房等商鋪縮短營業時間，實施期間為8月3日至8月31日。
美聯儲7月利率決議重申承諾，將使用“所有工具”支撐美國經濟，並將保持近零利率，時間長短取決於經濟從新冠疫情打擊中復蘇的進程，官員們還稱經濟發展路徑在很大程度上取決於疫情的演變。分析認為，美聯儲9月會議將加強前瞻指引，未來加碼資產購買(QE)計畫可期，美元指數中長期將保持弱勢。
美聯儲7月利率決議幾乎沒有改變外匯市場的整體心理，美元疲軟的預期依然根深蒂固，更傾向於關注那些落後於美元疲軟走勢的貨幣，因此仍關注美元兌日元下行。考慮到新冠病毒事件正在美國各地肆虐，對美元儲備貨幣地位不利。如果說美聯儲7月決議有什麼影響的話，那就是只會強化已經佔據市場心理的美元疲軟前景論調。
不過日本下調2020財年實際GDP預測，預計GDP將萎縮4.5%左右。日本政府預計到2021財年日本實際GDP增速約為3.4%。日本稱，如果海外出現第二次大規模冠狀病毒疫情，2020財年日本實際GDP可能收縮5%左右。而日本財務省官員表示，如果日元走強，考慮各種政策工具。
