美國總統特朗普和日本首相安倍晉三提前在昨日通話，原本應該今日通話。而有消息報道說雙方將在此次會談中涉及到朝核問題。目前市場預計，美朝仍有機會通過協商達到無核化的目標。
美國國務卿蓬佩奧5日說，美方並不認為朝鮮日前發射的短程發射體對美國造成威脅，依然希望美朝能通過對話在朝鮮半島無核化道路上取得進展。
蓬佩奧當天在接受美國廣播公司採訪時說，根據美方目前掌握資訊，朝鮮最近一次試射的發射體射程相對較短，並未對美國或是日本及韓國造成威脅。
蓬佩奧說，美朝仍有機會通過磋商達成朝鮮半島完全、經驗證的無核化目標。美朝在兩國領導人河內會談後有過互動，希望在未來數周雙方互動會更加活躍，通過對話尋求在無核化問題上取得進展。美朝雙方關係的發展，通過避險情緒的升降，將成為短期影響金價走勢的影響。
雖然當前因貿易問題所引發的避險情緒升溫，金價走高於1282附近，但黃金分析師稱，因為市場避險情緒升溫，現貨黃金有望重回1285美元，甚至突破這一高點；因國際貿易局勢再次緊張，包括原油在內的風險資產出現暴跌，從而提振金價。
分析師預計，金價將持穩甚至走高。從技術上講，市場下行過度，在下行趨勢中理應出現上行修正。但不要期待價格大幅上漲。市場需要一場地緣政治震盪，以提振黃金市場的看漲情緒。
自2013年春季以來，黃金交易處於窄幅區間，預計金價不會大幅升穿該區間，但如果金價回升至1350美元附近的上方阻力位，那麼未來六至18個月內在短期內上漲近100美元的可能性確實存在；潛在的不利因素將是美元和股市進一步走強，或者宏觀經濟或地緣政治緊張局勢有所緩解。然而，他認為，市場投資者嚴重低估了風險。
不確定因素是各國央行的貨幣政策。出人意料的政策變化可能會引發歐元的大幅拋售，這可能導致金價進一步走軟。但黃金市場將在夏季積聚能量，金價突破可能發生在10月或11月，這將為金價升至1550美元鋪平道路。分析師指出，儘管經濟數據強勁，但美聯儲不願加息，將使黃金受益。此時，各國央行正不斷買入黃金。他說:“我認為阻力最小的路徑在這裏將是走高。”
