市場對脫歐談判無太多期望，二次公投已準備好

5月7日，英國首相特蕾莎梅一直希望在不舉行二次公投下，讓議會批准脫歐計畫，但是目前脫歐妥協方案的談判一直未能達成。預示特蕾莎梅已經為二次脫歐公投做好情景規劃，以免議會強迫進行公投。
英國首相發言人稱，首相告訴內閣，與工黨的協議還沒有達成，公眾發出了明確的信號，雙方應該繼續推進脫歐，今天晚些時候將與工黨進行更多談判，內閣仍然支持通過與工黨談判找到英國脫歐的解決方案，我們一直保持對談判的信心，至關重要的是找到一條能在議會中獲得穩定多數席位的前進道路，但是對於臨時關稅同盟的可能性，首相發言人表示不便透露會談細節。
35.6%的首席財務官(CFO)認為，再次延長英國脫歐期限是最可能的選擇，20%的受訪者認為將舉行另一場公投，26.7%的人認為英國將在10月帶著協議脫歐。
另外，據英國政府高級消息人士表示，有可能達成脫歐協議，但是不可能在本周，英國工黨消息人士稱，首相特雷莎·梅提出的短期關稅同盟並非新鮮事。英國BBC政治編輯認為，即使與工黨達成脫歐協議，特雷莎·梅的領導地位未來依舊黯淡。
英鎊兌美元在週二歐洲時段開盤大幅跳跌，此後走勢持續萎靡。亞洲時段一度錄得的漲幅已被回吐殆盡。小時線圖也顯示出上行動能進一步耗竭的形態。
分析師指出，如果英國脫歐協議正式達成，英鎊或許有3-5%的快速上行空間，但是在決議未能達成之前，隨著10月31日最終大限的逐步臨近，英鎊匯價承受的壓力會越來越大。在沒有突破性樂觀消息的背景下，沿著趨勢下行仍將是行情的主旋律。
分析師稱，預計在10月底脫歐截止日期之前都不會有較大進展，這似乎是期權市場的共識，隱含波動率仍接近過去幾年所見低位。目前關於何時、如何脫歐甚至是否脫歐，仍不甚明晰。匯市整體波動率仍接近五年低位，對沖基金所持英鎊淨倉位已下滑至負值區域
