強勢美元在下半年將結束，貿易摩擦施壓股市

5月8日，現貨黃金創先新高，因實市場對中美貿易摩擦的變數，可能影響經濟增長，全球股市持續承壓，但目前黃金上漲仍面臨變數。音沒留暗處多次表態，沒有充分理由調整貨幣政策，支撐了美元指數。不過市場認為強勢美元在下半年將終結。
受貿易緊張情勢影響，金融市場本周震盪，因中美貿易緊張關係升溫——起因於美方上週末威脅對中國輸美商品加征關稅。中國處在全球產業鏈中間環節的重要地位。
對此中國外交部發言人耿爽在週三的例行新聞發佈會上回應稱：“談判本身就是討論的過程，雙方存在分歧很正常。中方不回避矛盾，對繼續磋商具有誠意。”
中國國務院副總理劉鶴仍將於本周前往華盛頓，進行為期兩天的貿易磋商。因此部分投資者將美方的關稅威脅視作談判策略。
美聯儲副主席克拉裏達週二表示，美聯儲認為沒有充分的理由升息或降息，當前的政策立場可能幫助通脹向聯儲設定的2%目標回升。
克拉裏達稱：“讓通脹回升至2%將是政策的重中之重。”他還說，美聯儲將在必要時調整政策，以使通脹達到目標。
克拉裏達這番表態與上周美聯儲主席鮑威爾的言論基本一致。這些言論將繼續鞏固美元指數在97關口上方的盤整態勢，黃金走升仍面臨不小牽制。
分析師今年美國的財政刺激減少、經濟轉弱及美聯儲暫停升息應導致美元轉弱。美元要保持在現時的強勢需要有某些事情的發生。
假如美國和歐盟的貿易談判未能達成協議，雙方互征關稅，可能推動歐元兌美元走低；至於英國脫歐若未能在10月底最後期限達成協議，將可能有更廣泛的影響，令歐元兌美元走弱；此外義大利財政風險重燃，政府未能控制高企的債務，這亦將削弱歐元。
至於新興市場問題，例如土耳其、阿根廷市場動盪等也可能支持美元。只要這些風險仍然存在，美元將仍然處於強勢，倘這些風險實現或波動升級，則美元更有可能進一步走高。
下半年全球經濟總體前景將會好轉，美元兌主要貨幣的強勢地位難以為繼。而美國經濟下半年及明年很有可能放慢，美元持續強勢將會成為美國經濟增長的阻力。
要是出現全球經濟衰退這樣非常差的情況，美聯儲可能大幅降息，即便金融市場震盪則可能令美元短期受益，但美聯儲可能作出的持續政策反應將很快扭轉這情況。這個時候黃金才有可能真正迎來大牛市。
