4月非農大好，失業率創新低，但薪資疲軟

美國4月的非農就業數據中，就業崗位大增，失業率刷新49年新低。但薪資年率不及預期。美元指數沖向高位，但因為薪資水準不及預期，後半行情有所回落。現貨黃金在短暫下挫後，低位反彈衝擊高位。
美國4月失業率較前值和預期值下降0.2個百分點至3.60%，創近49年以來新低；不過美國4月平均時薪年率持平前值3.2%，較預期值低0.1個百分點。
4月非農數據公佈後，聯邦基金利率期貨暗示市場預計美聯儲2019年年內不會加息，降息概率為47.3%；如果美聯儲年內不降息，那麼2020年1月會議上降息的概率為52.2%；
美國失業率降至超49年最低部分是因一部分人脫離就業市場，表明就業市場仍有一定閒置；不過，由於各行業就業人數普遍增加，此次公佈的非農就業人數錄得大幅上升，就業人數增幅繼續維持在10萬人/月這一與工作年齡人口增速大致相當的速度；薪資方面，穩步上漲的薪資令留在就業市場和脫離就業市場的勞動保持大體一致。整體而言，報告表明美國經濟穩步增長。
4月非農報告可能會令美聯儲鷹派陣營更加穩固，但美元並沒有得到太大提振，部分原因是交易員似乎預期將有一份健康的報告出爐。這使得美元兌主要貨幣匯率相對於數據公佈前的水準變化不大。對於美聯儲來說，這幾乎是一份“金髮姑娘”式的非農報告：數據結果指向經濟增長強勁，市場對今年降息的預期有些過於激進，同時，薪資數據不及預期表明通脹仍得到控制。
美聯儲週三(5月1日)維持利率不變，並暗示短期內沒有調整貨幣政策的意願。美聯儲主席鮑威爾對記者表示，物價壓力下降可能是暫時性因素造成的，他預計通脹將回升到美聯儲2%的目標。
工資水準的不斷提高，使得不斷有新的勞工加入到就業市場中，並挽回那些原本已經退出就業市場的人。今年以來，美國適齡勞動人口、尤其是黑人和婦女的勞動參與率增長顯著。
隨著越來越多的人尋找工作，失業率接近50年來的最低水準，美聯儲官員預計，失業率到年底維持在3.7%附近。經濟學家表示，申領救濟金的人數有所減少，這證明了勞動力市場的強勁。
雖然更高的非農就業意味著美國就業市場強勁，經濟勢頭應該保持強勁，但目前正在持續被問及的一個更廣泛的問題是，勞動力市場的強勁勢頭是否正在轉化為消費者支出。
美國勞工部稍早公佈的報告顯示，美國第一季度非農生產率增速為四年多來最快，壓低了勞動力成本，並暗示通脹可能在一段時間內保持溫和。因此儘管像交通運輸、製造、建築等行業勞動短缺，但勞動力市場仍然存在一些疲軟。
