黃金低位反彈20美元，市場風向導致黃金避險難以發揮作用
在8月16日，現貨黃金價格在創下19個月新低後回升，回補日內全部跌幅並轉向多頭，上漲近20美元。原因是早前傳出消息，中國將在本月下旬和美國就貿易摩擦一事開始新一輪的談判，造成美元走軟，對金價構成支撐。不過美聯儲加息削弱黃金避險功能，美土關係持續惡化，美元依舊強勢，黃金反彈仍有一定壓力。
中國商務部週四稱，應美方邀請，商務部副部長兼國際貿易談判副代表王受文擬於8月下旬率團訪美，與美國財政部副部長馬爾帕斯率領的美方代表團就雙方各自關注的中美經貿問題進行磋商。
分析師說：“由於美元的力道減退，我們預計黃金買興將重燃。但那可能還要一陣子才實現。”
交易員說：“市場在短期內已跌50-60美元，因此出現一些短線復蘇並不意外。下午市場走升，但我不認為金價在此已企穩。行情還會震盪，市場仍然承壓。”
在美聯儲的加息週期中，黃金的避險資產地位已經被嚴重削弱，投資者更傾向於持有美元現金，而非不產生利息回報的現貨黃金。
此外美元指數仍處於高位運行，還因為土耳其與美國的關係惡化，市場擔心土耳其總統埃爾多安呼籲下調利率。
分析師，黃金的走向和新興市場的疲軟高度相關。儘管在避險情緒回升時一般會利多金價，但是在主要非美貨幣和新興市場貨幣相較於美元持續走軟的情況下，美元具備了避險屬性，導致了資金流入美元。
