貿易戰全面升級黃金萎靡
8月8日，現貨黃金沖高回落，因美元指數回補日內跌幅。同時中美貿易戰升級促使投資者買入美元尋求避險，現在美元被視為避險資產。
隨著英國無協議脫歐前景進一步強化，英鎊兌美元匯率時隔一個交易日再度刷新近1年新低。即便歐盟願意延長脫歐談判時間週期，那也將會是棘手的難題，英鎊短期內止跌希望渺茫。
美國貿易代表辦公室週二公佈價值160億美元中國商品的最終徵稅清單，其中包括279項商品，並表示將從8月23日開始向這些商品徵收25%的關稅。這是美國總統特朗普施壓中國就貿易問題作出讓步的最新舉措，此前美國已於上個月向340億美元進口自中國的商品加征關稅。
經過46天的公共意見徵詢和審議期後，美國貿易代表辦公室將原始清單中的一些專案剔除，因發現若把這些商品包含在內將對經濟造成嚴重傷害。
商務部新聞發言人發表談話稱，美方決定自8月23日起對160億美元中國輸美產品加征25%的關稅，又一次將國內法淩駕於國際法之上，是十分無理的做法。中方為維護自身正當權益和多邊貿易體制，不得不做出必要反制，決定對160億美元自美進口產品加征25%的關稅，並與美方同步實施。
交易商稱，中國新出爐的數據表現仍穩健，但無法撫平投資者對於近期中美貿易緊張局勢升級的擔憂情緒，美元需求依然旺盛。
分析師認為，7月外貿總體形勢尚可，不排除有企業商家搶時間趕進度的因素，而人民幣貶值顯然也有效對沖了一部分影響。
中國人民銀行調升遠期售匯風險準備金率，有助於跌跌不休的人民幣回穩。在那之後人民幣扳回部分跌幅。週三，美元兌人民幣離岸價創下近一周低點至6.8053。
全球最大黃金上市交易基金(ETF)——SPDR Gold Trust稱，週二其黃金持倉量下降0.15%至25319951.65盎司，為2017年8月以來最低。
總體看，當下的中美貿易戰的影響在心理層面比實際影響大，不過隨著時間的拉長及額外關稅的生效，未來的外貿走勢仍存一定的不確定性。
