美元走高黃金持穩，油價劇烈震蕩

三名前英國央行官員：英國央行將抵制對11月加息的押注
三名前英國央行貨幣政策委員會委員Andrew Sentance、David Miles、John Gieve表示，英國央行可能會違背投資者對下個月突然加息的預期，因為央行很少以如此戲劇性的方式改變政策。受英國央行行長貝利等人言論的推動，市場預計英國央行將在11月4日開始一輪激進的加息周期，到2022年底，利率將從目前的0.1%升至近1.25%。這三名前英國央行官員表示，英國央行不太可能實現這樣的轉變。自疫情爆發以來，該委員會的9名成員中沒有一人投票贊成提高借貸成本。
美聯儲宣布限制高級官員交易的新規定，禁止購買股票和債券
美聯儲在聲明中表示，將禁止政策制定者和高級官員購買個人股票和債券，並將限制活躍的交易。買賣證券需提前45天通知，此類交易需事先獲得批準，以及持有投資至少一年。此外，美聯儲表示，”在金融市場壓力加劇的時期，將不允許任何買賣。”包括地區聯儲主席、美聯儲理事和高級職員在內的美聯儲高級官員將只能購買共同基金等多元化投資工具。12位地區聯儲主席將被要求在30天內公開披露金融交易，這一政策已經適用于總部位于華盛頓的聯儲官員和高級官員。
