就業數據不佳美元回落，黃金一度突破1760
周四(9月30日)隨著能源價格飙升並且股市下跌，美元兌多數G-10貨幣下跌，大宗商品貨幣領漲，日元在連續六天下跌後反彈。諸多風險令投資者擔憂，標普500指數9月累跌4.8%，創出去年3月以來最大月度跌幅。現貨黃金尾盤漲超30美元，收于1757美元附近，結束兩日連續下跌趨勢，但美元和美債收益率走強，仍使黃金價格在9月錄得3%跌幅。油價收高，WTI原油期貨連續第六個季度錄得漲幅，交易員押注海外原油需求增加。
美國國會通過權宜支出法案 聯邦政府得以避免關門
美國衆議院通過了覆蓋九周時間的權宜支出法案，可使政府免于停擺。周四早些時候該法案已獲參議院通過，現在將送交總統拜登簽署。因遭到共和黨強烈反對，此前民主黨人放棄了將暫停債務上限納入權宜支出法案的想法。根據該法案，聯邦政府將維持運轉直至12月3日。
耶倫重申上調債務上限
美國財長耶倫重申，如果國會山未能上調債務上限，將引發一場“災難”。如果國會山能通過跨黨派的方式上調債務上限，將具有重要意義。支持國會山永久性地取消債務上限措施。對財政部發行的債券規模任意設置上限會限制該部門承擔國會和總統已經批准的法案的能力，是沒有意義的。
