俄罗斯晋升全球第三产金国

俄罗斯自然资源和环境部长周四表示，俄罗斯的黄金产量25年来首次超过美国，目前是仅次于中国和澳大利亚的第三大黄金生产国。
在过去的5年中，有270座矿床在俄罗斯被发现，尽管俄罗斯并不是全球矿产勘查投资的领先国家。不过他也对此表示，这可能会为俄罗斯部分地区带来社会及经济发展的负面影响。据俄罗斯黄金生产商联盟此前公布的数据显示，2013年俄罗斯的黄金年产量同比增涨12.6%，至254公吨。而2013年中国的黄金年产量同比增6.2%，至428.16公吨
2013年国际金价曾暴跌28%，但到目前为止已从1217美元/盎司反弹至1328美元/盎司。与其他一些基于收入征收石油和天然气生产税的国家不同，俄罗斯法律还额外要求征收地质勘探的成本税。
“如果俄罗斯能够免除地质勘探成本税，将有益于俄罗斯的黄金产量的增长。”他指出目前美国煤炭产业已经实施了相同的立法。
另外，路透据道琼斯报道，美国堪萨斯城联储总裁乔治周四称，某些经济公式显示，美国联邦储备理事会(FED/美联储)可能最早在今年升息。
报道称，乔治在俄克拉荷马州肖尼市举行的一次商界领袖活动上表示，“通过研究美联储遵照的一些政策处方，和帮助指导利率调整时机的公式，我发现很多都直指联储最早可能在今年升息，也可能在明年。”乔治是今年没有投票权的联储政策委员。
报道称，她指出，担忧食品价格上涨对低收入家庭的影响，急切地希望早日开始政策正常化进程。
