全球股市扬眉吐气之后，原油市场日内又迎来重大利好消息。欧市盘中，据路透援引知情人士消息称，沙特、卡塔尔、委内瑞拉及俄罗斯油长已在多哈开始闭门会议。
这是数月以来，OPEC(石油输出国组织)与非OPCE国家之间举行最高级别会议，这表明产油国或许最终准备着手解决供应过剩问题。
市场分析人士指出，这次会议让人想起2001年OPEC及非OPEC国家会面的情形，当时沙特促成了一项全球减产协议，这是俄罗斯唯一一次同意参与减产。
在俄沙等国已经开始“闭门开会”消息公布之后，国际油价扩大涨幅，美国原油和布油双双大涨逾5%，前者最高触及31.09美元/桶，后者一度上探至35.39美元/桶。
不过，随后与会各国召开新闻发布会，宣布冻结产出于1月水准，并未达成减产协议，这无疑让投资者倍感失望。随后美国原油短线急挫超过1美元至29.75美元/桶，布油跌至33.68美元/桶。
沙特阿拉伯石油部长欧那密在新闻发布会上表示，“冻结产出于1月水准足以应付市况，我们将于未来数月评估未来稳定市场的措施。沙特经济能够因应当前油价毫无问题。”
