在1月12日结束当周，Comex期金出现了9周以来的第一次净多头持仓状态，而期银市场也出现了相似的变化。
数据显示，当周Comex期银的多头头寸增加了1333手，与此同时，空头头寸增加了675手，净多头头寸增至8549手。
瑞银(UBS)策略师Joni Teves表示：“期银市场相对期金市场持仓的缓慢增加和金价/银价走势一致，近期该比率上升到了79左右水平。期银多头头寸在继续增加，但受到新空头增加的抵消。”
此外，德国商业银行则指出，期银的净多头头寸已经连续第二周增加，涨至3周最高水平。
