周一（1月18日）亚太时段，避险货币日元回吐稍早涨幅，因中国央行（PBOC）采取新措施抑制离岸人民币投机，并上调人民币中间价，此举缓解了市场对人民币汇率急剧贬值的担忧。
本月稍早人民币跌至近5年低点，重燃对中国经济状况及全球增长前景的担忧，加剧了市场避险情绪。
目前投资者对人民币的担忧有所缓解，因中国央行宣布了抑制人民币离岸市场投机的新举措，且调高了人民币中间价。
日内美元/日元一度跌至116.58，逼近上周五（1月15日）曾触及4个半月低点116.50，目前汇价自低位反弹收复跌势。
澳元/美元也一度涨至0.6923，脱离上周五所触及的近7年低点0.6826。纽元/美元也反弹脱离近期低点0.6380。
鉴于2016开年以来全球股市出现的抛售，市场参与者仍对风险偏好能否持续改善抱有疑虑。
与此同时，英镑仍处于守势，英国经济增长前景令人忧虑，即将展开的脱欧公投也令人不安，这些都损及英镑人气。
本交易日英镑兑美元自1.4243低点温和反弹，目前位于1.4275一线附近温和交投。
本交易日稍早，投资者将矛头指向加元，加元兑美元一度跌至近13年低点1.4610，因有关加拿大央行（BOC）最早将于本周降息的预期升温。
且鉴于市场预期油价将进一步下跌，商品货币、特别是加元的前景依然黯淡。
日内油价触及2003年以来低位，因伊朗制裁措施于周末解除后，市场准备迎接更多来自伊朗的石油出口。
巴克莱分析师在客户报告中指出，“油价持续低迷继续令加拿大经济承压，加拿大央行今年将需要至少降息50个基点，以部分抵消原油价格持续下滑的冲击。”
