英國央行加息引發企業界不滿，警告稱此舉將推升成本和抑制投資
英國企業界警告稱，新的防疫限制措施讓他們應接不暇，英國央行在此時做出了加息決定，將推升成本並可能抑制投資。此舉將使英國國債年度償付額立即增加13億英鎊（17億美元），並影響200多萬有抵押貸款的家庭。英國商會經濟負責人Suren Thiru表示，當前通脹飙升主要是受到全球因素的推動，因此加息對遏制通脹進一步上升幾乎沒有作用。然而野村國際英國經濟學家George Buckley表示，加息對整體經濟的影響將很小。
