避險情緒高漲，黃金出現飆升

8月17日，現貨黃金出現巨大漲幅，由於美元指數走弱，美債收益率有所回落，推動市場購買黃金，加上巴菲特的伯克希爾哈撒韋購買了貴金屬公司的股份，提振市場對黃金的樂觀預期。
分析師表示，紐約聯儲公佈的製造業活動大幅下滑，顯示製造業領域的經濟活動減少，而巴菲特的伯克希爾哈撒韋正在買入黃金類股。市場預期美聯儲將為黃金提供非常有力的支撐，本周美聯儲會議紀要出爐前，預計金價將突破2000美元/盎司，年底前將突破2250美元/盎司。
美元指數跌至逾一周低位，指標10年期美債收益率回落，紐約聯儲製造業指數驟降至3.7，這些因素也支撐了金價。分析稱，今日金價飆升，一方面由於美元指數日內走低，逼近年初至今的低位，另一方面，大宗商品持續上漲。現貨黃金突破關鍵的短期技術阻力位，刷新近一周高位，較日內低點反彈50美元，邁向1990美元/盎司。黃金已經收復上周暴跌的一半以上的跌幅。美盤時段，由於美元走軟，黃金加速反彈。只要黃金維持在1965美元/盎司上方，看漲基調就可能維持不變；突破1990關口，則下一強勁阻力位可能在2015美元/盎司。
金銀本周的開局非常積極，分別漲2%和4%。目前金銀比低於73，表明白銀正在追趕黃金，白銀目前只是被略微低估了。推動白銀走強的因素之一是近幾日白銀ETF的強勁資金流入，ETF投資者顯然將白銀此前的大幅下跌視為買入良機。與此同時，黃金ETF的需求也在減少，上周五黃金ETF連續第6天出現資金流出，上一次出現這種情況還是在3月中旬。
