市場密切關注稍後美聯儲決議。週三美聯儲將於北京時間9月19日淩晨2：00公佈9月議息決議。投資者在美聯儲決議之前採取觀望態度。繼金融危機以來美聯儲上次決議首次降息後，這很可能將是該行近期的第二次降息。
在稍後的決議中，投資者需要關注以下幾個重點，首先是本次美聯儲會議是否會降息，其次是美聯儲的經濟預期如何調整，接著是美聯儲的點陣圖顯示的接下來的降息路徑如何，最後美聯儲主席鮑威爾如何評級當前美國經濟前景。
在議息會議前夕，市場對於降息預期調整較大。根據現在的芝商所美聯儲觀察工具顯示，9月降息概率為54.2%，而12月2019年第二次降息概率為83.5%。
交易員們本周大幅增加了對不降息的押注，因為在週一油價大幅度攀升之後，交易員擔憂通脹上升會限制美聯儲降息。且美聯儲主席在上一次講話中直言美國經濟強勁。

投資者還需要關注鮑威爾對美聯儲獨立性的解釋。美國總統特朗普提名的填補美聯儲職位空缺的人選謝爾頓週二淡化美聯儲的獨立性，呼籲美聯儲與白宮更緊密地合作，此舉將會顛覆美聯儲目前的貨幣政策操作。
除了美聯儲決議，投資者還在關注日本央行本周的決議。而美聯儲決議的情況也可能會給日本央行施加壓力，日本央行也可能在週四召開的會議上放鬆政策。
