非農好於市場預期，失業率下降

在3月5日晚，美國公佈了市場關注的2月非農就業數據，數據結果明顯好於市場預期，失業率也有所下降，在數據公佈後，現貨黃金出現明顯下挫，美元指數也有了明顯的跳升。投資者目前對黃金的興趣明顯減少。
具體數據顯示，美國2月非農就業人口增加大幅37.90萬，增幅遠高於預期值19.80萬和前值4.90萬；失業率降至6.20%，低於前值和預期值0.1個百分點；平均時薪年率也符合預期的5.30%。
美國勞工部：2月份大部分新增就業出現在休閒和酒店行業，臨時幫助服務、醫療保健和社會援助、零售貿易和製造業的新增就業較少；在建築和礦業、州和地方政府教育等行業的就業率下降。2月份休閒和酒店業就業增加35.5萬人，餐飲服務場所增加28.6萬，住宿就業增加 3.6萬人，娛樂和賭博行業增加3.3萬人。
美聯儲主席鮑威爾昨天說的是，美聯儲不希望看到市場的“無序”波動，或者金融環境的持續緊縮。股市下跌、公司債券息差擴大和美國國債收益率飆升，如果這一切都持續下去的話，確實會使金融環境收緊。但從某種意義上說，今天的報告顯示我們還沒到那一步。
就業報告也提醒人們，隨著美國新冠疫情進入第二個年頭，就業復蘇仍然非常緩慢，成千上萬的美國人處於長期失業或永久失業狀態。美聯儲主席鮑威爾週四(3月4日)對勞動力市場持樂觀態度，但他警告說，今年重返充分就業的可能性極低。
新冠已極大地改變了經濟格局和就業版圖，許多服務性行業失去的工作崗位很可能將永遠不復存在。週三公佈的一項調查顯示，服務性行業的就業增長上個月有所放緩，企業報告稱他們“難以招到合格的申請人填補空缺職位”。
但是隧道總會迎來光明的盡頭。經濟學家認為，儘管最近新增感染人數下降速度趨於平穩，但疫苗接種人數每天都在增加，勞動力市場將在春季和夏季期間積聚能量。總統拜登提議的1.9萬億美元復蘇計畫也將增加就業崗位供給。
勞動力市場對每日新增病例和住院人數下降的反應一直很緩慢，但這已經實實在在推動了一月份消費者支出增長，促使經濟學家大幅提高了對一季度國內生產總值(GDP)的估計。
