黃金持續走弱，美聯儲沒有新動作

3月8日，現貨黃金重新走弱，由於美元指數不斷走高，加上美國非農就業數據前景，同時美國又通過了1.9萬億美元的救助法案，美聯儲沒有口頭打壓收益率漲勢，也提振了美債收益率的持續上漲。
美國2月就業崗位增幅超預期，因新增病例數下降和政府提供更多大流行援助資金推動餐廳增加招聘，使勞動力市場復蘇重新站穩腳跟。加上新冠感染率下降、疫苗接種加速以及1.9萬億美元紓困計畫，推動了債券收益率的飆升。
美國拜登總統的1.9萬億美元新冠紓困法案在國會中力求過關時，左右兩派皆有反對聲音，彰顯出以民主黨微弱的多數優勢，拜登欲在國會取得大勝利何其艱辛。最後該法案在共和黨一名議員缺席下以50-49票通過。
民主黨現在轉向其他優先要務，比如基礎設施支出和移民改革，但參議院規定多數立法需獲得60票贊成才能通過。一般情況下，民主黨在參議院的50個席次加上副總統哈裏斯打破平局的決定票是不夠的。
但在美聯儲官員看來，勞動力市場可能需要幾年時間才能從疫情造成重創中恢復過來。他們多次表示，任何通脹的上升都是暫時的。黃金市場維持疲軟態勢似乎並不奇怪。
美聯儲主席鮑威爾上周對勞動力市場持樂觀態度，但警告稱，今年恢復充分就業的可能性極小。其他官員也認為，其他官員暗示，一段時間內並不打算觸碰超寬鬆政策錶盤，對最近幾周美債收益率的迅速上升並不怎麼擔憂，並希望經濟強勁復蘇。
明尼亞波利斯聯儲主席卡什卡裏表示：“如果我們看到實質收益率確實在上升，那將使我躊躇，將使我擔心我們向經濟提供的寬鬆正在減少，或是這會讓我們考慮做出政策回應，我們並沒有見到實質收益有太大的變動。”他並稱，而是債券投資者要求的補償有所增加，以反映不斷上升的通脹預期。
亞特蘭大聯儲主席博斯蒂克也表達了同樣的觀點，“我們已經做好準備，也有能力支持經濟持久而強勁地復蘇。我們需要盡我們所能，儘量減少疫情危機造成的長期損害，並確保復蘇的基礎盡可能廣泛，盡可能具有包容性。”當被問及他是否認同其同僚關於現在沒有必要對債券收益率上升做出反應時，博斯蒂克表示，通脹上升現在還不令人擔憂，但美聯儲將繼續關注。
