黃金回吐漲幅，美債收益率又大漲了

3月3日，現貨黃金重新走低，回吐上日的漲幅，由於美債收益率日內再度大漲，帶動美元走強，讓市場興趣持續增加。但是美國面臨2.59萬億美元的基礎設施資金缺口，拜登計畫增加基礎設施支出的提案未必得到支持，仍是經濟復蘇的難題。
美聯儲官員週二(3月2日)表示，他們將保持寬鬆貨幣政策，希望能讓失去工作的美國人儘快重返工作崗位。在疫苗接種和政府支出的推動下，美國經濟今年春季可能出現一輪通脹。
投資者將密切關注美聯儲主席鮑威爾週四(3月4日)將在華爾街日報的就業峰會上發表的講話，這是聯邦公開市場委員會(FOMC)3月16-17日開會前，鮑威爾的最後一次公開講話。
美國總統拜登週二(3月2日)表示，到5月底，美國將得到足夠多的新冠疫苗，確保每個成年人獲得接種。此前，美國默克公司同意生產由競爭對手強生公司研發的單劑型新冠疫苗。
根據美國衛生與公眾服務部(HHS)的說法，藥品生產商之間的合作夥伴關係以及政府為協助強生公司採取的其他措施，將使該公司在一個月左右的時間內加速交付1億劑疫苗。
根據美國土木工程師學會(ASCE)週三發佈的一份評估報告，美國面臨2.59萬億美元的基礎設施資金缺口，需要政府大幅增加支出用於修建道路、橋樑和其他專案。報告呼籲美國各級政府及民間部門擴大投資，到2025年將投資額從相當於國內生產總值(GDP)的2.5%提高至3.5%。
這份170頁的報告發佈之際，總統拜登計畫在未來幾周尋求大幅增加基礎設施支出。他的前任特朗普和奧巴馬尋求資金的努力均未能贏得國會支持。因為這引發了人們對通脹可能大幅攀升的擔憂，可能迫使美聯儲不得不大幅加息來抑制投資和支出。
分析師表示：“如果我們不採取緊急行動，我們將面臨重大的經濟損失，消費者、企業和製造商將承擔更高的成本，我們的生活品質也會下降。”
這份每四年發佈一次的報告給予美國的整體分數為“C-”，高於2017年時的“D+”，這也是20年來美國首度獲得C級評等，但報告也發現美國的支出只有必要花費的一半，將美國整體基礎建設列入“平庸狀態”。
基礎設施老化對國家提升長遠競爭力的限制十分明顯，加上新冠疫情大流行對經濟的嚴重打擊，即使經濟前景改善，通脹可能大幅攀升的言論甚囂塵上，美聯儲決策層對此予以反駁的理由完全站得住腳，黃金對抗通脹的魅力此前似乎被誇大。
