美元多頭難以發展，因美聯儲自毀前程
12月17日，現貨黃金價格回升，美元指數高位回落。擔心全球經濟放緩的同時，市場也在期待美聯儲在本周會議能夠提供關於加息的線索。美聯儲從緊，美股可能出現最差的表現，市場希望美聯儲能夠發出一定的安慰措辭。
分析師稱：“金價今天的走勢就是純粹跟隨美元。在美國聯邦公開市場委員會(FOMC)會議之前，我們料將看到一定的下行走勢，但事實仍然是金價可望延續基本強勁走勢。”
美國商品期貨交易委員會(CFTC)數據顯示，投機客上周將美元淨多倉規模削減44億美元，但美元上周仍大漲，可能存在誘多。
在前一周達到極端水準後，美元淨多倉出現回調，在連續三周上升之後下降。美元淨多倉下降，符合市場中看空美元情緒增強的情況。在美聯儲官員發表比較鴿派的言論之後，投資者已經調整了升息預期。
投資者希望從美聯儲12月18-19日會議上獲得有關美國貨幣政策的未來路徑。市場普遍預計FOMC此次會議將升息25個基點。那將是年內的第四次升息，也是自2015年12月啟動本輪升息週期來的八次。
美聯儲致力於使貨幣政策從10年前金融危機後的近零利率水準回歸正常化，決策者在9月份的時候還預測明年將升息三次。但這樣的預期現在幾乎不可能出現。利率期貨走勢顯示，2019年美聯儲可能僅有一次升息。
分析師說：“當務之急是(美聯儲發佈)鴿派的政策聲明和寬鬆的問答環節。否則，將使股市再次面臨風險。美聯儲是12月市場表現強勁的關鍵，而且今年接近尾聲。”
分析師稱：“如果有任何內容能夠說明，市場預期2019年加息一次和美聯儲此前預期加息三次之間的差異，都很可能影響市場。”
分析師說：“毫無疑問，對立場更趨鴿派的美聯儲，市場看法已發生改變。如果你回過頭看，就在9月時還預期2019年升息可能為三次，而現在預期大約只有一次。”
澳洲國民銀行貨幣策略主管Ray Attrill表示：“在市場承壓之際，美元仍盡顯自身魅力。美聯儲最有可能從自動駕駛模式轉變為依賴數據做決策。”
