虽然亏损了，但藤田保住了声誉。次年，藤田和美国油炸食品公司再次签订了订购600万把刀叉的合同，由于意外事故的发生，藤田重蹈覆辙，但藤田依然决定再次租用波音707飞机空运。两次交易，两次亏本，但是藤田因良好的信誉得到商界的褒奖。之后，藤田因良好声誉获得了美国麦当劳汉堡包在日本的总销售而发迹。
