巴菲特每年都要和大学生开会，在一个会议上，一个学生问他：你觉得一个人最要紧的品质是什么？巴菲特没有给正面答复，而说了这样一番话。巴菲特说，现在给你买10%的同学的权利，直到他的生命结束。你想买哪一个？你选择最聪明的吗？不一定。你选择精力最充沛的吗？不一定。你选择富二代官二代吗？不一定。经过仔细的考虑，你会选择你最认同的人，最有能力的人，能够实现他人利益的人，选择那种慷慨、诚实，能取得他人信任的同学。把这些好的品质写在一张纸的左边。
他又接着说，现在给你一个出售10%的学生的机会，你会选择谁？你选择最差的人吗？不一定。你选择那个可怜的贫穷同学吗？不一定。当你想起来的时候，你可能会选择最讨厌的人，他不仅让你讨厌，你周边的人也讨厌他，你压根不想和他打交道。他不诚实，喜欢一个人独占利益，喜欢耍阴谋，喜欢说别人坏话，喜欢抢风头，喜欢发脾气等等。然后把这些不好的品质写在纸的右边。
巴菲特这故事讲了一个什么道理呢？一个人能赚很多钱， 他不一定就有最强的能力，很大原因是他有良好的品质。养成这些好的品质，你在赚钱之路上，会走得更顺。学习纸片左边的品质难吗？不难，赶紧学起来吧！
