美国2月份消费者信心低于预期，经济咨商理事会(The Conference Board)25日公布，2月份消费者信心指数自前期的79.4点下滑至78.1点(1985基期=100)。据路透社调查，经济学家原预估信心指数为80点。消费者信心调查是由经济咨商理事会委托市场研究机构Nielsen随机抽样调查，调查截止日为2月13日。报告显示，当月消费者现况指数上升4.4点至81.7点；期望指数下滑5.1点至80.8点。经济咨商理事会主管Lynn Franco表示，经济、就业与薪资展望转弱，是消费信心下滑主因。不过，尽管期望指数近几个月起起伏伏，但现况指数仍持续上扬，显示民众仍感受到经济改善，只是对未来仍存有不确定感。
问券调查显示，受访者看好当前景气比例由前月的20.8%上升至21.5%，而看坏者比例自23.4%下滑至22.6%。在未来6个月景气预期方面，看好景气好转比例自前期的17.4%下滑至16.3%，但预期景气会恶化者自12.2%上升至13.3%；认为「工作机会很多」者自15.1%下滑至13.3%，认为「工作难找」自19%上升至20.6%；预期收入会增加者比例自16.6%下滑至15.4%，预期收入减少者自13.9%下滑至13.1%。
