分析師稱，對黃金等避險資產需求下降，黃金繼續緩慢上升的事實充分說明，它的潛在動能來自於央行和經濟全線注入流動性的想法。不過，全球股市普遍上漲、對各經濟體陸續重啟的預期變得更加樂觀、消費者需求料將逐步恢復，這些因素則令金價的上漲動力受到限制。
美聯儲最新會議記錄亦支撐金價，委員們一致認為，他們“將致力於全面使用其工具，並採取適當行動來支持美國經濟”，新冠疫情使經濟面臨“非同尋常”的不確定性，中期存在異常不確定性和重大風險。
按照IMF目前對2020年G-10國家政府債務和預算赤字的估計，黃金價格被低估了，應該在1975美元。
數據顯示，白銀支持交易所交易基金（ETF）的資產週一和週二增加超過1850萬盎司，持倉延續創紀錄水準，並有望創3月份以來的最大單周增幅。分析師在一份報告中稱“目前的關注點更多地放在白銀與黃金的相關性上，因此其有補漲潛力”。
