美国12月核心数据超出预期，金价下挫

1月16日，美国公布了市场重点关注的12月零售销售数据，数据结果表现为超出预期，当中零售销售月率符合预期，核心零售销售超出预期，同时美国12月的进口物价指数符合预期，在一系列良好数据公布后，金价短时内出现下跌。
具体数据显示，美国12月零售销售月率实际公布0.30%，预期0.3%，前值0.2%；美国12月核心零售销售月率实际公布0.70%，预期0.5%，前值0.1%。
分析指出，2019年美国零售额稳步增长；美国12月份零售销售增强，这得益于假日购物热潮的推迟，美国商人一年来的支出增长较为温和；2019年全年，零售额增长了3.6%，比2018年增长近5%的增幅有所下降，这是六年来最大的年度增幅，反映了减税的推动作用。
分析指出，与此同时，消费者可能仍将是经济的主要燃料来源，因为企业继续招聘员工，家庭情绪保持高涨；包括服务和商品支出在内的个人消费在去年第二和第三季度创下2014年以来最大的连续季度增幅。
由于消费者在2018年退缩，当时股市崩溃，购物者感到负面的财富冲击的刺痛感，因此去年12月的销售增长特别大。恰逢政府关闭。经济学家指出，可自由支配的支出大部分是在网上完成的，这意味着投资者应关注在线零售商，以了解支出波动的可能性。

美国截至1月11日当周初请失业金人数实际公布20.40万人，预期21.8万人，前值21.4万人；美国截至1月11日当周初请失业金人数四周均值21.63万人，前值22.4万人。
细分数据显示，19年底和20年初，制造业、运输业、仓储业、建筑业、教育业以及住宿和餐饮业出现裁员，结合周三发布的美联储经济状况褐皮书中提到的多行业劳动力短缺问题，可以解释12月就业增长缓慢的现象。
