11月22日，金價雖然有所反彈，但仍無法擺脫震盪趨勢，同時美聯儲暫停降息，而且市場對貿易談判進展感到疲勞，市場在尋找其他關鍵因素，當中歐洲公佈的PMI資料也吸引了眾多投資者的關注。
中國商務部新聞發言人高峰上日也表示，中美雙方經貿團隊將繼續保持密切溝通，中方願與美方在平等和相互尊重的基礎上，共同努力，妥善解決彼此核心關切，力爭達成第一階段協定。這令市場對貿易談判取得進展仍抱有希望。
分析師表示：“投資者已經出現資訊疲勞，對新資訊的反應積極性也有所下降。由於不斷有相互矛盾的消息出現，市場已經放棄去猜想接下來會有什麼消息傳出，我們要在知道發生了什麼事後才會去交易。”
歐洲主要經濟體法國和德國11月份製造業PMI資料均有所反彈，歐元起初走強。但德國製造業仍處於萎縮之中。而製造業的急劇衰退蔓延到了服務業，歐元區經濟在11月份幾近停滯。歐元隨後走弱。
脫歐進程現在已經再次延長，公司正在減少投資，因為他們正在等待英國與歐盟未來關係的更清晰的圖景。疲弱的調查資料暗示，英國四季度GDP有望下降0.2%。
歐元區11月份PMI資料是在拉加德作為歐洲央行行長的第一次重要演講之後發佈的。政策制定者在九月份加大貨幣刺激力度之後，他們已經增加了對政府行動的呼籲。
拉加德表示，將會繼續推行支持經濟增長的貨幣政策，並在維護物價穩定的前提下對應對未來風險。歐洲需要新的政策組合，需要創新，需要保持足夠的公共投資水準。
