亚特兰大联储主席洛克哈特(Dennis Lockhart)周一表示，上周的决定基本是“风险管理”的举动，以确认近期市场波动不会拖累美国经济。他表示，仍预期美联储在今年稍晚加息。
洛克哈特说道：“我把决策权重中的大部分放在围绕近期和当前场波动的审慎风险管理 上。随着尘埃落定，我将为通往更正常利率环境的首次政策行动做好准备。我有信心被广泛引用的措辞‘今年晚些时候’将依然有效。”
洛克哈特并表示，10月会议上可能加息，行动与否取决于会前的时间是否足以评估近期波动性的影响。
与此同时，圣路易斯联储主席布拉德(James Bullard)周一表示，在保持超低借贷成本七年后，美联储开始收紧货币政策的“理由很充分”。
布拉德反对上周四美联储维持近零利率不变，与洛克哈特一样，布拉德也表示，美联储存在10月加息的可能。
在联储上周保持利率不变后，布拉德和洛克哈特的讲话支持了美联储将在今年收紧政策的观点。
之前，旧金山联储主席威廉姆斯(John Williams)上周六表示，美国仍可能在2015年加息。
市场目前正在等待美联储主席耶伦本人发声，她定于定于9月24日在麻省的Amherst发表演讲，这也是她沟通美联储政策观点的良机。
