周二（9月8日）欧元区迎来系列经济数据，德国7月季调后贸易帐表现超过预期，显示欧元区最大经济体的贸易水平比之前预想的要好一点，并没有受到近一段时间欧洲政治问题太多的影响。法国贸易赤字出现回升，但明显贸易形势仍不能确定是否已经企稳。与此同时，欧元区整体出口和消费支出推动GDP继续复苏，数据显示欧元区经济复苏仍然保持稳健的水平。
欧盟统计局(Eurostat)公布的数据显示，欧元区第二季度国内生产总值(GDP)季率增长0.4%，第一季度数据修正后为增长0.5%。统计局8月14日公布的初步数据显示第二季度GDP增长0.3%。受数据利好影响，欧元/美元整体反弹以阳线收涨。
此外本周二中国股市回升，上证指数稳定攀升近3%，深证指数涨幅近3.3%，同时中国8月贸易帐表现不错，受此影响，澳元、纽元均出现反弹，兑美元攀升均超过1%。
英镑方面，随着市场风险偏好的回升，且英镑/美元暂时受到空头回补，这使得汇价反弹回升，触及1.5412高位。
