另外，上周五（9月4日）公布的数据显示，德国7月工业订单降幅超出预期，因国外需求放缓，表明出口呈现部分疲软迹象。出口一直是支撑德国今年上半年经济增长的引擎。
近期，其它德国数据普遍积极正面。德国7月零售销售创九个月最快增速，民间部门亦加快增长。
IFO经济研究所表示，德国8月企业信心回升，但如果中国经济放缓打击德国经济，今年晚些时候出口可能会下滑。
ING经济学家Carsten Brzeski认为工业产出数据“坚固但不壮观”，尽管面临希腊危机和中国经济放缓担忧的情况。他称：“没有意外惊喜但亦无可担忧。鉴于上月面临的各种挑战，一个稳固的开始已经是一种成功。”
