美国10月建筑支出录得五个月来最大按月涨幅，缓解了对第四季成长大幅放缓的担忧。此外11月汽车销售意外增长，也扶助提振成长前景。美国商务部公布，10月建筑支出上升1.1%，至9,710亿美元，为5月以来最大增幅，预估为增长0.6%。9月建筑支出被上修至下跌0.1%，前值为回落0.4%。分析师称，这暗示第三季国内生产总值(GDP)初估值可能被上修0.2个百分点，至按年增长4.1%。
另外，六大车商中五家上月的汽车销售增幅超过分析师预期。通用汽车报告销售跳增6.5%，克莱斯勒则表示销售急增20.1%。但福特汽车报告销售小幅下降。
