美国制造业成长减速，但稳步增长的大趋势未变

美国11月制造业活动增长减速，但新订单持续增长，以及出口订单反弹，暗示尽管全球成长不断放缓，美国经济仍保持稳步增长的势头。美国供应管理协会(ISM)表示，11月制造业指数从10月的59.0降至58.7，因补充库存的速度放缓；不过新订单增至8月以来最高，出口订单增长也加速。
另外，金融数据公司Markit公布，美国11月Markit制造业采购经理人指数(PMI)终值为54.8，初值为54.7，10月终值为55.9。PMI指数成长放缓至10个月低位。但这项调查的历史较短，使其衡量美国制造业活动状况的可信度大打折扣。
