随着投资方式的多样化，有贵金属投资、有股票投资、有期货投资，也有外汇投资等，我们都知道炒贵金属可以到香港平台开户，炒股票或是期货可以到证券交易所开户。那么炒外汇要到哪里开户呢？
一、炒外汇的渠道
炒外汇有两种渠道开户，一种是在银行，一种是在外汇商。外汇开户的选择地点要根据客户的风险承受能力和资金大小来确定。
（一）银行外汇开户
银行外汇开户也也称之为外汇实盘。选择在银行外汇开户没有杠杠，不过手续费相对较高以及较为安全，手机手续费一般为10—30点，一般年收益为5%——10%，若是资金太少的话，可能导致投资者的收益有限。
（1）开户步骤：到银行柜台申请开一个外汇户，然后购汇存入该账户，和银行签订外汇交易协议，申请开通网上银行，然后在家里用个人电脑登陆该银行的网站，进入网上银行进行交易即可。
第一步：填写《开户申请书》，本人身份证、银行卡复印件；
第二步：查收邮件，修改密码；
第三步：银行入金；
第四步：正式交易。
（二）外汇平台开户
外汇平台开户一般是通过国内的外汇平台或是直接到国外的投资公司网站上申请开户，具有杠杠制度，手续费相对较低。如香港证监会规定的外汇杠杆比例为1:20，也就是说是二十倍杠杆，恰当的杠杠有利于资金、仓位的控制。
二、炒外汇选择平台商的要求
第一，平台是否受到FSA或者NFA监管机构监管。
第二，平台的稳定性，是否经常滑点、掉线等，我们可以在模拟平台上查看得出。
第三，平台的出入金是否安全、可靠，便捷。
第四，平台是否有负面消息的存在。
