目前，在普通股票软件里是没有止损挂单这一功能的，这一功能一般存在于期货、外汇、贵金属市场。现在，小编就来说说止损挂单具体是什么意思。
一、止损挂单是什么意思
所谓止损就是指为了防止市场走向与投资者的愿望相反导致造成过大亏损，而制定的一个投资者所能承受的最大限度，而这个止损平仓的限额，被称为止损点。那么，止损挂单的意思就是被投资者设置了止损点的挂单。
二、止损挂单在黄金市场的具体运用
在现货黄金或是白银中，挂单交易主要有四种类型，分别为Buy limit；Buy stop；Sell limit；Sell stop。投资者选择任何一种挂单方式都可以设置止损，目的是避免巨额亏损或是控制亏损额度在投资者可以接受的范围内。下文从Buy limit和Sell limit这两个角度来讲解一下止损挂单的实操流程。
1、Buy limit设置止损
以伦敦金为例，目前伦敦金的价格在1182.00美元/盎司附近徘徊，某投资者希望在1180.00美元/盎司做多，因此提交一张buy limit的挂单，由于担心行情会反转，所以在这张挂单中设置止损价格控制亏损范围，止损价必须设置远离挂单价至少200个点差。因而我可以设置止损价为1178.00美元/盎司或是以下的价位，若黄金价格运行到1180.00美元/盎司，挂单进场，当黄金的价格没有上涨，还是继续下跌，那么在触及1178.00美元/盎司时，该交易单会自动平仓出场，这是止损挂单的其中一种运用。
2. Sell limit设置止损
如目前的伦敦金价格在1182.00美元/盎司附近徘徊，某投资者希望在1185.00美元/盎司做空，因此提交一张sell limit的挂单，由于担心行情会反转，所以在这张挂单中设置止损价格控制亏损范围，但止损价必须远离挂单价至少200个点差。因而，我可以设置止损价为1187.00美元/盎司或是以上的价位，若黄金价格运行到1185.00美元/盎司，挂单进场，如果黄金的价格没有下跌，反而继续上涨，那么在触及1187.00美元/盎司时，该交易单会自动平仓出场，这是止损挂单的另外一种运用。
总的来说，止损挂单就是对交易单设置止损的意思，其目的就是为了在挂单进场之后，投资者没有及时盯盘，当市场走向与交易单设置方向相反时，控制亏损范围以免造成巨大损失。
