世界金协下调今年印度黄金需求

世界黄金协会(WGC)周四(8月14日)发布的二季度报告显示，印度二季度黄金需求有大幅下降。WGC预计今年印度全年的黄金需求将在850至950吨之间，比之前的预期下降50吨。
WGC的印度地区主管Somasundaram PR称，由于黄金进口限制，印度的黄金需求受到影响，而限制可能在今年余下时间内继续下去，因原油价格不确定以及美国货币政策会限制印度政府放松限制。
Somasundaram说：“面临更高的利率和更高的油价，放松黄金进口限制有什么用呢？我认为进口限制会继续到明年第一季度。”由于有进口限制，印度的黄金走私变得非常猖獗，WGC预计今年的走私量将达200吨。去年估计有150到200吨的黄金被走私进印度。
Somasundaram预计下半年印度的需求将达500吨，比上半年增长27%。下半年有印度的婚礼和节日季，都将推动黄金需求。
