LME提出提存改革 于明年4月实施

伦敦金属交易所(London Metal Exchange, LME)因提存速度缓慢而遭诟病，为减少提交排队问题及因应市场需求，LME提出改革建议，计划于2014年4月起实施。
LME行政总裁庄敬贤(Garry Jones)表示，LME有责任提供公平且有秩序的金属市场，又排队提仓的时间问题将对价格发现(price discovery)，价格收敛(price convergence)和运用市场进行有效对冲等方面造成影响，LME因此有责任改善。
据悉，部分LME仓库业主故意将提交时间延长超过一年，藉此收取更多租金，赚取暴利。根据新改革，倘取货轮候时间超过50天，将被要求先出货后，方可进新货，目前仅针对轮候时间超过100天以上规定。
LME同时希望增加其职权范围，设定仓库租金上限，但鉴于目前反竞争法规定而无法进行。LME其他改革措施包括，增加调查以及采取行动的权力以防止提交制度的滥用，但尚未公布相关之细节。
