纸黄金投资成热点 李嘉诚预购金矿

黄金价格的下跌为投资公司提供了买进机会，加拿大怡东集团，一家由李嘉诚旗下公司与加拿大帝国银行联合组成的合资企业，日前正在寻求投资金矿业。加拿大怡东集团首席执行官Warren Gilman在香港长江实业接受采访时表示“从长期来看，纸黄金投资是一个十分有前景的领域”。
自2000年以来，金银价格在今年出现第一次下滑，相对于2011年9月最高纪录的1921.15美元每盎司下跌了27%，金价跳水也促使投资者约翰保尔森和乔治索罗斯抛售黄金。
“对于每盎司1700至1800美元的金价水平我感到不太自在，所以乐见今年金价有所下调，因为公司有希望实现投资黄金的目标。”Warren Gilman说。
怡东集团最近投资了美国能源和矿业公司债券，后者在开发一个加拿大的钼矿项目，Warren Gilman拒绝评论怡东集团用于这项投资的资金规模。
随着美元走强和美联储计划退出量化宽松的影响，黄金市场今年以来下降了16个百分点。
Warren Gilman预期，金价在未来几年可能徘徊于每盎司1000至1400美元之间，并成为常态；长远而言，由于愈来愈难在安全区域内找到有经济效益的黄金矿床，黄金供应将不足应付长期需求，金价将因而推高。
