金价下跌 南非哈莫尼金矿产生资产减记

道琼斯通讯社报导，南非第三大金矿商哈莫尼金矿公司（Harmony Gold Mining Co.）8月14日公布，截至6月底的2012/13财年，该公司净损为24亿南非币（2.4亿美元），主要受到金价下跌提列资产减记以及劳工问题的影响。该公司2011/12财年为净利26亿南非币。
哈莫尼金矿公司表示，鉴于金价走势的低迷，公司将会重新评估如何开发位于巴布亚新几内亚的金矿项目瓦菲高普（Wafi-Golpu），因为根据2012年所进行的可行性评估，该矿可能无法在目前的金与铜价格下提供良好的投资回报。该项目是与澳洲最大金矿商纽克雷斯特矿业（Newcrest Mining Limited）分别持股五成的合资项目。
2012/13财年，哈莫尼金矿公司的黄金产量年减2%成为114万盎司，上一个财年的产量为127万盎司。此外，受到金银价格下跌以及生产表现疲弱的影响，该公司对Hidden Valley矿提列了27亿南非币（2.68亿美元）的资产减记。
另一方面，针对目前正在进行的南非金矿商与矿工工会间的劳资谈判，哈莫尼金矿公司执行长布里格斯（Graham Briggs）表示，在目前的金价环境下，南非金矿商无法承受大幅度的两位数薪资增幅，这将会迫使部分矿场关闭。上周，代表矿商与工会进行谈判的南非矿业协会提出5.5%的加薪幅度，但已经遭到工会的拒绝，双方若未能在本月24日前达成协议，工会可能进行罢工。
