金价维持当前震荡走势，由于市场对美国经济前景以及英国大选的乐观预期，加上美联储鹰派作风，金价受到较大打压，但全球贸易局势不确定性仍在，同时市场仍需留意特朗普弹劾等相关消息。
美国第三季度经济增长略有回升，而非最初报告显示的放缓，主要原因在于库存积累速度加快，商业投资下降幅度减少。不过，有迹象表明，在消费者支出降温和商业投资不断下滑的情况下，第四季度初经济放缓。消费者支出正获得低失业率的支持。但就业增长放缓、消费者信心下降和工资增长停滞，都让人们对消费的弹性产生了怀疑。
在制造业方面，尽管大多数地区仍然没有增长，不过本次报告期的扩张地区数量比前一期有所增加。非金融服务业的前景仍然相当乐观，大多数地区报告的增长都比较温和。
美联储主席鲍威尔再度释放鹰派基调。周一美联储主席鲍威尔再度发表偏鹰派言论。他表示，货币政策“处于良好位置”，以支持强劲的就业市场。
美联储10月实施了今年第三次降息，将目标利率区间下调至1.5-1.75%。鲍威尔和其他美联储官员在这次降息后暗示，除非经济前景恶化，否则在可预见的将来将按兵不动。
全球贸易局势目前还有很大的不确定性，投资者仍然要保持谨慎。目前，市场传达给投资者的情绪还是相对偏向乐观的，但投资者也不能掉以轻心。
为打破“脱欧”僵局，约翰逊此前要求在12月12日举行大选。在最近的一次电视辩论中，他再次举起手中的“脱欧”底牌，承诺将会实施他与欧盟之间协商的“脱欧”协议——带领英国在2020年1月31日前脱欧，并就英国与欧盟的长期关系达成一份贸易协议。
当前多数市场人士仍然认为，如果约翰逊所在的保守党获得多数席位，英国经济将会得到提振。分析认为，在上述假设情景中，新版“脱欧”协议将得以在议会获得通过。若如此，企业和消费者信心及情绪将有所恢复，从而对英国股市形成一定利好。
特朗普直面弹劾危机，弹劾已进入调查决策阶段。目前看来，特朗普弹劾的危机并没有计入市场价格，市场并不认为特朗普会被弹劾。不过，投资者也不能完全忽视该因素，以防止黑天鹅事件出现。
