2月27日，美元指数连创新低，美联储主席重申，美联储在货币政策上保持耐心，在目前状态下，美元兑潜在的利空消息比较敏感。痛啊是英镑走强也进一步施压美元，现货黄金价格维稳，同时地缘政治局势支撑金价上涨动能。
鲍威尔周二表示，不断增加的风险以及最近公布的疲弱数据，不太可能阻止美国经济今年实现稳健增长，但他重申美联储将保持“耐心”的货币政策立场。
美国宏观经济近期表现释放相互矛盾的信号，零售销售等数据令人失望，而它们与稳定的就业、薪资增长以及持续的低失业率形成鲜明对比。
鲍威尔表示：“我们具备良好前景所需的条件，但海外经济成长放缓拖累美国经济，未来几个月我们可能更多地感受到这一点。货币政策委员会确实在监控相反的趋势和风险，目前来说，我们将对我们的政策保持耐心，让时间来澄清一切。”
如果说有什么值得一提的话，那就是鲍威尔的言论夯实了美联储上月的政策转变。当时美联储表示，将暂停为期三年的加息周期，直到通胀或经济成长动能发生变化。外界之前预计美联储升息周期将持续到2020年。
英国首相特雷莎·梅周二向议会提供了一个机会，可在下个月投票选择推迟脱欧，开辟了避免引发金融市场大混乱的无协议脱欧可能性。
政府分析称：“尽管政府不断提醒，但几乎没有证据显示，企业正积极地为无协议脱欧情境做准备，而且证据表明，中小企业的准备成为不足。政府认为，这种缺乏行动的原因通常在于，人们认为无协议脱欧并不是非常可信的结局，无须为此采取行动或者花费支出。”
按照现行计划，英国应于3月29日正式脱欧。但英国议会尚未批准脱欧协议，使得无序脱欧的可能性一直存在。因此造成的全球金融秩序大动荡，或让本已转弱的全球经济面临衰退，英镑或跌破1.20。
巴基斯坦军方发言人、少将Asif Ghafoor表示，巴基斯坦“别无选择”只能，但巴方并不希望让危机升级。巴方在周三早些时候的空袭中刻意避免了打击军事目标或造成伤亡。
这是1971年印巴战争以来，两国间首度爆发空袭。但迄今为止，市场避险阵营对此反应冷淡，因为两国关系本来就很紧张，面对两个有核邻国之间爆发冲突的风险加剧，世界主要国家呼吁印、巴双方保持克制。关注焦点在于冲突是否有升级迹象。
