贸易曙光打压美元，无法提供黄金多头

特朗普还计划在海湖庄园与中国国家主席习近平会面以达成协议。特朗普周一表示：“我们会再举行一次峰会，一次签字峰会，因此希望我们能够达成协议。不过我们非常、非常接近了。”
特朗普这一决定令贸易摩擦免于再度升级。贸易摩擦造成全球金融市场陷入剧烈动荡中，并波及广大抗风险能力较弱的新兴市场经济体，它们为保外储，不惜抛售黄金，进而出现了避险资金涌向美元这一不多见的现象。
汇市还在静候美国联邦储备理事会主席鲍威尔的证词陈述，该陈述可能进一步提振风险偏好。投资者正寻求美联储对最新经济和货币政策看法的线索。
美联储主席鲍威尔将于周二晚些时候在参议院金融委员会发表证词，他周三(2月27日)将出席国会另一场听证会。市场观察人士预计，鲍威尔将强调美联储对资产价格的敏感性，并对美国成长前景做出乐观评估。
本周这番努力的价值将受到公开考验，他将前往国会山出席一场关于政治与经济环境的听证会。自从他前次于去年7月在国会作证以来，政经环境已产生重大转变。
