网民力挺耶伦留任
CNBC对非专业投资者进行的非正式调查显示，多达三分之二(66%)的网民都支持现任主席耶伦继续留任，远高于泰勒和鲍威尔的支持率。但也有投资者恶作剧地表示，美联储这一要职，恐怕只有特朗普亲自担任，才会让人感到放心。
美国总统特朗普总统在最近的采访中表示，对于市场预计他将提名美联储总理杰罗姆·鲍威尔或斯坦福大学经济学家约翰·泰勒担任美联储主席这一状况，他本人已经“有所知晓”，而他表示，很有可能会提名这两人中的一位出任美联储主席和副主席，但也仍不排除继续提名美联储现任主席耶伦(Janet Yellen)继续留任的可能性。
美联储现任主席耶伦的首个四年任期即将在2018年2月结束。对于下一任美联储主席究竟会花落谁家，此前包括耶伦本人在内曾有5-6名有实力的候选人，包括鲍威尔，泰勒、 耶伦以及白宫首席经济顾问科恩科恩和前美联储理事凯文·沃什。
此前，特朗普在9月29日承诺，会在“两到三周”时间内就美联储主席人选给出答复，但在上周五(10月20日)三周期限到期时，他却表示仍需更多时间来对此问题进行斟酌。而目前，各界预计特朗普将会在11月3日动身前往亚洲多国出访前敲定最终名单。
