英国逼供欧盟，脱欧会议全体表决
英国反对党工党的脱欧事务发言人斯塔默爵士在接受《星期日泰晤士报》的采访时表示，工党可能会与英国首相特雷莎·梅保守党中反对她的人联合起来，以迫使她向议员们就最终脱欧的协议进行投票。
斯塔默要求梅姨接受对所谓的“废除法案”的六项改革，包括让议会最终决定是否批准这一法案，并在英国脱欧后加入为期两年的执行过渡期条款，在此期间内，英国仍将留在单一市场和关税联盟中。在接受《泰晤士报》记者的采访时，斯塔默发誓要“与各方合作”。
由于在6月大选失利后，梅姨已经需要由北爱尔兰民主统一党支持的少数党政府来推进立法，因此她现在很容易受到反对该法案的本党反对派的牵制影响。FX678援引外媒的报道，在议会中，保守派和反对派成员已提出了数百项修正案，其中包括前内阁成员Dominic Grieve，要求对英国脱欧进行正式议会表决投票。苏格兰第一部长Nicola Sturgeon和威尔士第一部长Carwyn Jones在7月也发表了一份联合声明，称未经议会同意与欧盟缔约，是赤裸裸的夺权。
工党影子外交大臣Emily Thornberry上周日在参加英国广播公司(BBC)的《安德鲁·马尔秀》节目时呼应了斯塔默的立场，Emily Thornberry称，脱欧是对英国的严重威胁，工党将阻止政府在脱欧谈判中一些自作主张损害国家利益的做法。Thornberry还称，英国需要成为关税同盟的一部分。
在工党进行干预前，上周的欧盟峰会上，双方对英国脱欧谈判进展的态度略有改善，欧盟也同意开始在内部讨论贸易问题。梅姨将于周一向议会汇报最新的谈判进展。
