美联储货币政策持续宽松，通常还未达目标
周一(9月25日)，美联储票委埃文斯发表讲话称，渐进谨慎的货币正常化路径是合适的。同时，埃文斯还认为，担心通胀预期过低，应该维持宽松政策直到通胀持续稳定在2%上方对于美联储主席的候选人问题，埃文斯则表示，总统提名新主席是很正常的过程。
埃文斯表示，渐进谨慎的货币正常化路径是合适的，只要美联储缓慢缩表，政策就仍是宽松的。相信目前的政策组合是合适的。
埃文斯认为，担心通胀预期过低，近期几乎没有数据表明通胀将迅速回升至2%，应该维持宽松政策直到通胀持续稳定在2%上方。
对此，美联储主席耶伦此前则认为，通货膨胀率已经低于2%的目标一段时间，但压制通胀的因素应该是暂时性的。埃文斯表示，担忧目前的通胀疲软可能更加具有结构性。可能需要花费几个月的时间来观察通胀前景的变化。可能需要比预期更长的时间来解决通胀前景问题。
埃文斯还表示，美国经济接近完全就业，希望更多的创新会提高生产力。埃文斯强调，对2019年底前将利率提高到2.7%感到合适。美联储在下次加息行动前需要看到薪资增长和物价压力上行的明显迹象。
最后，埃文斯表示，对在接下来的某一次会议中加息持开放态度。在加息前希望看到更多通胀上涨的势头。
