分析师在一份报告中表示：“欧元和信贷市场对于德国选情的反应是可预测的，但欧洲央行依旧是欧洲债券市场一股强大力量，与欧洲央行的政策变动前景所可能带来的惊涛骇浪相比，德国大选的结果充其量只能算是一朵小浪花。”

周日(9月24日)的大选投票结果让许多交易员感到意外，他们看到的是个支离破碎的德国议会。默克尔领导的右翼基督教民主联盟和它的巴伐利亚姐妹党基督教社会联盟赢得了33%的选票，相比于上次选举的41.5%显著下降。亲近商业集团的自由民主党以10.7%的得票率排在第四位。自由民主党表示，它愿意与默克尔领导的基督教民主联盟进行联合会谈。绿党也将加入联合会谈，这可能最终形成德国几十年来的第一个三党执政联盟。然而，联合政府的谈判并不会容易。
