欧元区12月综合PMI创五年半最高
Markit周三(1月4日)公布的数据显示，2016年结束时欧元区企业活动增速创五年半最快，因欧元走软在12月时刺激对欧元区商品和服务的需求；且德国服务业12月仍保持稳健扩张的态势，尽管扩张速度有所放缓，但仍表明私营部门对该国四季度经济依然有提振作用；同时，12月法国民营领域活动也飙升至18个月高位，全年强势收官，因该国服务业增长强于初始预期。
欧元区
Markit当天公布的数据显示，2016年结束时欧元区企业活动增速创五年半最快，因欧元走软在12月时刺激对欧元区商品和服务的需求。
欧元区12月Markit综合PMI终值为54.4，创下2011年5月以来最高(该指数自2013年中期以来一直处于荣枯分界线50上方)，高于预期值和初值(两者均为53.9)；欧元区12月Markit服务业PMI终值为53.7，高于预期值和初值(两者均为53.1)。
德国
Markit当天公布的数据显示，德国服务业12月仍保持稳健扩张的态势，尽管扩张速度有所放缓，表明私营部门对该国第四季度经济依然有提振作用。
德国12月Markit综合PMI终值为55.2，升至五个月高位，且高于预期值和初值(两者均为54.8)；德国12月Markit服务业PMI终值为54.3，高于预期值和初值(两者均为53.8)。综合PMI涵盖制造业和服务业，两者的经济活动占德国经济总量的逾三分之二。
Markit经济学家Leake称，12月服务业PMI强劲增长，商业活动稳固，主要受新订单快速增加的推动，私营领域产出小幅上扬，刷新5个月以来高位，2017年德国服务业前景料将一片光明。
德国第一季经济增长0.7%，第二季增长0.4%，第三季经济增速减半至0.2%后，预计第四季将有所反弹。Markit预计，德国2016年全年经济增长将为1.9%。
法国
Markit当天公布的数据显示，12月法国民营领域活动飙升至18个月高位，全年强势收官，因该国服务业增长强于初始预期。
法国12月Markit综合PMI终值为53.1，创2015年6月以来最高，高于预期值和初值(两者均为52.8)；法国12月Markit服务业PMI终值为52.9，高于预期值和初值(两者均为52.6)。
Markit称，酒店和餐馆12月恢复增长，企业称旅游观光业出现复苏。受过去一年半巴黎和尼斯发生恐怖袭击影响，酒店和餐饮业一直营生艰难。不过尽管成本上涨，法国服务业公司还是继续降价以吸引新业务，这导致利润率收窄。
意大利
Markit当天公布的数据显示，意大利12月服务业增长放缓，显示欧元区第三大经济体意大利在2016年以较为正面的表现收官。
意大利12月Markit综合PMI终值为52.9，低于预期值53.0和初值53.4；意大利12月Markit服务业PMI为52.3，连续第七个月守在荣枯分水岭50上方，但低于预期值52.6和前值53.3。
