亚洲股市在强劲的中国制造业数据后上升，而中国的资本外逃恐惧仍然是市场关注的问题。此前市场还在担心中国的资本外逃，这引发了中国货币管制的紧缩。
中国股市在周二早盘上升，受经济复苏迹象的推动。中国12月财新制造业PMI为51.9。这是从一个月前的50.9，是2013年初以来最强的水平。
中国人民银行最近加强对个人在中国转移资金的监督，以此作为反洗钱工作的一部分。中央银行还降低了银行需要向中国人民银行披露的交易规模的门槛，分析师认为这应该减少资本流出。
中国当局将限制中国公民使用其50,000美元的年度配额，如果他们使用这笔钱投资海外或买海外物业将是不允许的。分析师指出，这些规则不会阻止中国人通过联网在香港股票投资。
由于“异常波动”，上周五上海证券交易所暂停了50年期政府债券的交易，该债券价格跌破了10％以上。根据交易所网站上的一份声明，由于价格波动，2065年到期的政府债券在北京时间上午10时36分至上午11时06分暂停交易。
