中国黄金协会的数据显示，中国2015年黄金首饰用金增长2.1%至721.58吨，金条用金增长4.8%至173.08吨，金币用金增长78%至22.8吨，工业及其他用金增长3.5%。该协会表示，部分投资者将每盎司1,100美元的金价视作投资良机，促成了金条和金币销售的增长。
从数据看来，“中国大妈”仍对贵金属市场保有热情。对此，国际投行也持肯定态度。RBC Capital Markets认为，从根本上说，占全球消费量超过60%的亚洲需求旺盛而且应会持续下去。
