上一交易日美元兑其他主要货币下跌，全球市场波动性令美国升息前景蒙尘，而受创的加元和澳元等商品货币回稳。
上一交易日矿业和贸易巨擘嘉能可在伦敦市场反弹17%，助推澳元和加元的表现。周一该股股价暴跌约三分之一，因投资者担忧该公司债务问题。
周二大部分时间内澳元上涨，之后有所回撤，纽约尾盘持平，汇价最终收于阴十字星。美元/加元则上涨约0.25%至1.3420附近，稍早一度触及11年高位1.3455。
美元指数走势相对较为震荡，尾盘下跌0.15%，在本周五美国非农就业报告公布前交易员情绪谨慎。就业报告可能证实美国就业市场相对活跃。
随着市场对全球经济的担忧加剧、近期股市大幅修正，且美联储（Fed）官员讲话传递出的信息不一，令美国短期公债收益率下跌，压制美元。
