全国地产经纪商协会(NAR)周一公布的数据显示，美国8月季调后成屋签约销售指数意外下跌1.4%，预期增长0.5%，前值增长0.5%。
此为今年年内的第二次走低，表明近期该国的住宅房地产市场的复苏可能碰到些许困难。
由于待售房屋的缺乏，使得该国的房价处于高位，从而抑制需求。与此同时，考虑到抵押贷款利率处于历史低位，以及就业稳定增长，有助于帮助美国房地产市场，应对美元升值以及海外经济增长趋缓所带来的负面影响。
数据之后，路透社点评称，此次美国成屋销售数据不及预期，表明房市增长或正丧失部分动能；其中东北部地区成屋签约销售数量下滑5.6%，中西部下滑0.4%，南部下滑2.2%，相较之下西部地区签约销售升高1.8%；虽大部分地区录得下滑，但整体仍高于去年同期水平。
